Education at Luther School is exceptional. Parents and extended family play a vital role in ensuring our students receive a high quality education. Our Parent Teacher Association, Luther School PTA, provides funding for many programs. Thousands of parent hours are volunteered while students attend Luther School from Kindergarten through Eighth grade.
The PTA supports educational trips to Yellowstone Park, Montana's state capitol in Helena and the nation's capitol in Washington DC. Students are also able to visit farms and ranches; art studios and performing arts centers; and teacher requested field trips. Our school garden, Spanish lessons, wellness education, music and art program are supplemented by PTA fundraising efforts.
FundraisingEach year, students and parents partner with community on three fundraising programs in order to pay for hands-on education outside the classroom.

Spring Dinner & Silent Auction Activities include field trips to Billings music and theater productions; harvesting at a vegetable farm; local artist visits; Red Lodge Mountain ski program; an eco-education trip to Yellowstone Park; and a yearly science fair. |
Gratitude
Luther School students and families are very thankful for Luther community school district tax dollars that fund the school's high quality rural education. We are also grateful for the generous financial and in-kind donations from local residents and businesses.
This support has allowed for technology additions; agriculture and science activities; and art/music education not provided by our budget. |
GrantsParents actively participate in volunteer grant writing in order to supplement school budget funds. Luther School partners with funding programs that are specifically supportive of rural education.
