Welcome to Luther School!
Our school opened in the early 1900s as a one room school house on ranchland at the base of the Beartooth Mountains. It has seen 4 generations of families pass through its doors. Today, we are the last rural school in our county . . . proud of our Montana heritage, student achievement and teacher dedication. Luther School is part of the Montana Public School System. At Luther School, we focus on helping children, Kindergarten through 8th grade, understand their gifts and talents through hands-on education. We believe that when kids experience the joy of learning, they grow to be young adults who are better prepared for life, work hard and give back. Our students benefit from teachers and parents who are invested in each child. Every year, we see kids achieve top scores in every subject - Math, Reading, Science, Arts and more. Hands-On Learning
Whether it's raising the flag in the front yard each morning, cooking together, traveling to Yellowstone Park or publishing a student newsletter, Luther School and its teachers provide a school experience that's like none other.

Small Classes
Students are challenged daily to learn each subject by doing interesting activities. Whether it's math, Spanish or reading, concepts are better understood when teachers have the ability to work with each child independently. Our kids enjoy small classes. They are mastering their studies.

Authentic
At Luther School, we value the uniqueness of each child. This allows every child the opportunity to reach their highest potential. At our school, kindness and teamwork matter. We respect one another as students, parents, teachers and leadership.
